Our Atlanta field trip was in multi-purpose Piedmont Park which is next to the Atlanta Botanical Garden and only a couple miles via subway from downtown Atlanta. Eleven IFBR members and their guests spent the morning walking through a variety of habits with the excellent guidance of three Atlanta Audubon Society leaders: Mary Kimberly, who arranged our walk, and Gus Kaufman and Vinod Babu who bird Piedmont Park frequently. In appreciation for their time with us, we presented our leaders with $100 which they will use to support an Atlanta Audubon project of their choice. Afterwards, several of us went to a local restaurant where we enjoyed lunch and further fellowship.
