Our Toronto field trip was in multi-purpose High Park in metropolitan Toronto. Five IFBR members, from 4 countries, spent the morning walking through a variety of habits with the excellent guidance of Monika Croydon from the Toronto Ornithological Club. We also enjoyed lunch outside at a café in the park. Collectively we saw and/or heard 38 species of birds. In appreciation of Monika’s time with us, we presented the Toronto Ornithological Club with $100 which they will use to support their mission of studying the bird life in Toronto, which includes whimbrel and hawk watches.
